FYI, thoughts on yesterday's (positive economic/market shocking) US jobs report, including what it does/doesn't tell us and why the big forecasting error has broader implications than the further humbling of economists and Wall Street analysts. https://lnkd.in/gkcn5j3 #bopinion #markets #economy #equities #stocks #investing #fed #assetallocation #investmentmanagement #centralbanks #yields #jobs #economy …see more
Surrendering to change, embracing it, rolling with it, understanding it, loving it, hating it, experimenting with it, mastering it, is the key to loving it. Surrendering to change is the key that allows me to be immersed in a full life. Sometimes it’s really painful. Sometimes I hate change. It often gives me great anxiety. And I begin to miss my old life. But I won’t give up anything in exchange for immersing myself in the next steps in my life. Anyway… http://bit.ly/2yD2aMW …see more

It's weird having a job that's mainly based on thinking about the future. You feel really happy because it's pretty much the best job in the world. But it's also saddening because looking ahead there isn't ( to me) clearly a lot to be happy about.

When we think of #pioneers , inventors, we think of them mostly as men. But history is replete with bold women who break the mold. Bertha Benz is one of them, in none other than the Automobile industry. Historically, the #automotiveindustry has been driven by men. Mary Barra became the first female CEO of General Motors . But Bertha Benz was a woman who defied convention then and today. Her husband, Karl Benz, was the inventor. She was the #Investor ! She firmly believed in an automobile's opportunity when it was never considered a means of transportation. She was the business partner and also held the Patent rights though her name as a woman was not allowed on it. She was the first person to drive an automobile over a long distance ever (5 August 1888), rigorously field testing the patent Motorwagen, inventing brake pads, and solving several practical issues during the 65 miles (105 km) trip. She brought the Benz Patent-Motorwagen worldwide attention and got the company its first sales. Karl Benz wrote the following in his memoirs: "Only one person remained with me in the small ship of life when it seemed destined to sink. That was my wife. Bravely and resolutely, she set the new sails of #hope ." #Inspiration #Innovation Video Credits: Mercedes-Benz USA …see more

The world is changing. It's not a good thing or a bad thing. But your life is going to change with it. 94% of the 15 million jobs created in the past eight years are either part-time or #freelance. The #job landscape is changing. #Corporatism, which ruled the world for 100 years, is ending. #Technology and necessity have taken each industry, destroyed it, and then created 1,000 new and different ways to succeed in it.
