Thought provoking article, but I have a counterview. Did Da Vinci, or Beethoven or Michael Jordan prioritize productivity over perfection? I believe perfection is a mindset; a way of life. Of course there is need for balance, but behind every 'perfect' piece of work is hundreds of hours of relentless, tedious, repetitive and mostly unappreciated work. If you are choosing the lifestyle of a perfectionist, you will face disappointments, perhaps even demotivation. But if you care enough about the unseen and unsaid, it won't feel so. Obsessing over perfecting every little detail of your product or work may seem a massively dull exercise to an outsider, but it is one which makes the difference between the good and exceptional. https://lnkd.in/fTbByb6
