Don’t worry about how others organize themselves. You don’t owe anyone an explanation of how you like to stay organized.

For all the talk about the wonder of remote working, new nomadic lifestyles, changes to the notion of work, we will soon find the foundations of life are not made for it. Where do you pay income tax if you live in Texas but work for a New York company? Do you need a working Visa for the USA or Indonesia to be in Bali, working on website design for an American company? Can we start working 80% full time when we don't need to be in the office? What stops Salaries dropping when workers can live in cheaper places and do the same work? What happens to working hours when people live in different time zones? What happens when your company offers Illinois health insurance but you live in Idaho? How can Universities charge the same for education when there is no scarcity to attendance to drive up costs ? Perhaps we will snap back to the norm fast and these questions won't be addressed. …see more

Personalization is not binary. It's a spectrum from "absolute irrelevance" to "freakishly personal". Every company should consider where on this they'd like to be. The goal is to be most appropriate, not most personalized.

Do you like my new laptop? It's a Lenovo Yoga C940. It's been great for creating content on the go. I've also some big news, I'm a brand ambassador for Lenovo ANZ. One of my big goals is to build a worldwide brand and collaborating with world-class brands. Lenovo fits the bill as they are a global technology brand. I've using this laptop to do a lot of my startup work, including livestreaming, video editing and a lot of content creation. It's great for remote work. PS, I showed my mum photos and videos, she's like "Are you famous now?" haha 5 years ago, she told me to get a real job. Now she understands just a little of what I do. #smartertechnologyforall #stringtheory on #tech #brand …see more

Every platform has its own language, cadence, and purpose. But the magic is not in just understanding the platforms— it's in having a deep understanding YOU. Social media is meant to be an extension of who we are. It’s why I struggle so much with those that are preaching personal branding so hard. I believe in it. Hell, 50% of our business revenue was from personal branding clients before we closed down this year. There's so much emphasis on “building a brand.” Instead of encouraging people to really understand who they are. Especially for young people. So get clarity around who you are. Build YOU. And more importantly, be you 😉. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 …see more

Something I struggle with personally is this: "Why do people want to hear me talk?" "Why do people want to watch my videos?" "Why do they want to read my blogs?" Everyone says "put yourself out there." Or "tell your story." I'm guilty of it too. But not enough people talk about how doing those things should also be for the benefit of other people. Popularity is cool. But it comes and goes. Value lasts. So strive to bring value to other people. Then people will want to read/watch/listen to you no matter what stage you are in your life or career. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #business #entrepreneurship …see more

Globally there're 111,758 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 3,888 deaths so far. The #COVID -19 mortality rate of 2%-4% is lower than those of SARS (10%) and MERS (34%); however, the unknowns and uncertainty around it caused human horror, significant economic impact, and possibly a start of a recession: - $9+ trillion was wiped off global stocks in nine days - 7% drop in the New York Stock Exchange at the start of the market today halted trading for 15 minutes - The S&P 500 fell ~6% & Nasdaq was down 5.4% - $2.3 trillion expected loss of real GDP globally - $63-$113 billion impact on Global Air Travel Many sectors such as travel, restaurants, events, entertainments, health & beauty, and brick and mortars have already been impacted by #coronavirus aftermath. As the businesses slowing down, they will shed full-time jobs, hourly workers won't get paid, and people will fall behind in paying rents. In this extremely difficult times, please: - be "the best human" you could be - think beyond just you, your family or your company - reach out to those who need us the most In this environment, we all could rise as leaders by doing small things! After months of planning, Zero to Infinity  was recently approved by Apple!  We're now available on iTunes: 👉 https://apple.co/2BLa63k 👈 I started Zero to Infinity for two reasons: give back and create access. Like many other immigrants, I didn’t grow up realizing the importance of professional development and growth. It was through the mentors who gave me a chance and opportunities I’ve stumbled upon along my career that I realized how powerful soft skills like EQ and developing relationships can be.  I started publishing on LinkedIn three years ago to share my own story at a global stage (s/o to Maya Pope-Chappell   Daniel Roth !). Can't wait to incorporate Podcasting with LinkedIn Publishing to continue telling more stories and ideas worth sharing! Thanks for the support: ZipRecruiter Shapr WeWork ! Please give it a listen. More guest interviews from Forbes 30 Under 30 list makers, founders, and young leaders from Google and Apple to come later this month! If you like you what you heard, please subscribe and tag/share with friends who might benefit from the podcast. I'll also be announcing a way for subscribers to win a pair of Apple AirPods, Audible, and a one-to-one Skype session with me later this week! #BeInfinity …see more

At what point do we get to be able to discuss the fact we’ve a massive mental health crisis looming and we’ve kind of ruined the near term future of the young across the world. I’m a very positive person and now is the time to start reassuring people they will be fine. Now is one of the best times to make changes, to start a business, to take a risk. We’ve a rare mixture of people keen to make a difference, an excuse to take a risk and a environment of new consumer behaviors and brilliant talent out there. Quite frankly I’m sick and tired of the hysterical nature of reporting and the press, especially the intelligent liberal media which I’ve long respected and am now disgusted by. Please can we start living and get some hope out there. Don’t let the media destroy your sense of proportional risk and make money from your outrage and anxiety baiting …see more

In some industries it's almost worth thinking of your salary as the thing that allows you to stay alive ( with increasing dignity) until the age of 32-40 ish. Perhaps you really get paid to learn, to meet people, to gain knowledge and access and a reputation. If you focus on this, the gains afterwards can be much much greater. Doesn't always work this way, not every industry is like it, but at the very least to understand what you "earn" and "gain" beyond your salary should be a vital part of any job choice. Money is a deeply unimaginative, easily measured, less helpful thing than you may think. Often it just increases your expectations and fixed costs. …see more

It's interesting that higher education has never been more expensive & yet accessing many top class institutions lectures online has never been more easy & entirely free of charge. MIT do it, so does Stanford, and also, there is the worlds entire knowledge at our fingertips on the internet. So do you want to learn, or do you want a degree? Do you want to employ someone who has learned immeasurably for free driven by insatiable curiosity , or someone who took the same expensive safe steps while getting into debt and likely didn't learn as much. https://lnkd.in/djwYR4k …see more
