The June US consumer confidence index came in well above consensus expectations: 98.1 versus an expected 91 and May's 85.9. Similar to what will happen with Thursday's jobs data, there are questions re sustainability given recent health indicators. The key to success? Not raw talents or networking. It's a growth mindset. A mindset that's malleable and willing enough to transform every opportunity, including failures, into a learning and growth opportunity. Easier said than done. #WhenIWas15 I was regretting my decision to have appeared the class 10 board exams while still in class 8 because it meant I had to study art subjects for 11/12th in a Hindi medium all girls school in Unnao (small town in India in news for wrong reasons) - still the last time I studied in a class. I'm running because I'm confident that we are going to automate away millions of jobs in the next number of years and we need big changes to get through this time. The elimination of 4 million manufacturing jobs in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and other states gave us Donald Trump. The displacement of retail workers, truck drivers, fast food workers, call center workers, etc. will strain our society beyond repair.
