First fan art! "Let's make infinity countable" 🎨 I met I. Rayneil Mckinney after my conference keynote in Canada just a week ago. Just based from our conversation, Ray painted his vision of Zero to Infinity ! The journey to infinity is never linear, so... 🌟 Embrace an open and growth mindset. ❤️ Show gratitude and love to the friends, family, and people who supported you along the way. 💃 Relax a bit. Enjoy and learn from all the experiences, even the bad ones.  🤸‍♀️Take care of your wellness, physically and mentally. 🌱 Last but not least, pay it forward and champion someone else’s journey to Infinity. Thanks for adding color and your imagination to Zero to Infinity, Ray! Can’t wait to have you be part of the #BeInfinity team! 🚀 …see more

The UK really does feel at a turning point towards a far better future you can almost feel. But It's easier to predict WHEN life will return to "more normal" than it is to predict WHAT that "more normal" will be. It's easy to work with EVERYONE working from offices. It's easy to work with EVERYONE working from home. It's the hybrid which is hard. It's safe to assume all the work done in reducing office capacity, making perspex screens and distanced desks was all a waste of time and money. It was busy work. But how do people do 3 days at home, 2 in the office? Who gets to pick ? Monitor? Do some demand 4 days? Others 100% remote? How does that make those forced to be in offices for longer? What happens to those who feel left out being at home or key decisions made after the Zoom call by those in the office. Do promoted people seem to be in the office more? What happens to serendipity? What happens on pitches? What happens to salaries in a remote world? Interims are hard, we tend to flip to paradigms not mixed modes. Welcome to a far nicer period, with new and more interesting problems, which we should be preparing for. …see more

I may lead some rogue tours of CES this year. A little less about 4K TV, Drones, 3D printing, and more about changes in society, expectations, behaviors, etc and what this means for marketing. If you are interested, drop me a note on here or tom.goodwin@zenithmedia-na.com

One-time restructuring of real estate loans and a large fund to buy toxic assets and equity in banks and NBFCs can bring back the animal spirit in economy. Once the capital comes from others, there is no pressure on the government's fiscal health even as the RBI can draw comfort from the fact that the fund’s ownership will improve governance in banks …see more

Let's talk about digital detoxes for a moment 👇 When I was working on my second book, Indistractable, I got rid of all my gadgets and devices. My thought process: If I just got rid of my distracting devices, I’d be able to complete every task with ease. Pretty simple, right?! Well... No, not so simple. Because when I got rid of my devices, I’d often have other distracting thoughts come to mind. I’d reorganize my desk over and over again or do some house chores I had been putting off. Somehow, I kept finding distractions... And this is when I realized something important: Distraction starts from within. The first step to dealing with distraction is to master internal triggers like loneliness, boredom, stress, and other uncomfortable emotions that can drive us to distraction. How we deal with uncomfortable internal triggers determines whether we pursue healthful acts of traction or self-defeating distractions. #Indistractble #Health #Productivity …see more

Do you know what sucks? It's how most people are using LinkedIn. Most use LinkedIn like a dinosaur. Most treat it like a resume. Most of the messages are spammy or salesy AF. Most of the content is un-original. If you haven't noticed. LinkedIn has changed. It's more content-driven. There are LinkedIn Stories, videos, livestreams. You can build an audience here. You can be a trusted thought leader in your industry. You can build it beyond a network. But one thing hasn't changed. It's about relationships. How are you using LinkedIn? #stringtheory on #brandbuilding #personalbranding #digitalmarketing #socialmedia …see more

THIS! 👇🏽 “I remember meeting a buddy of mine, Mark Metry, the host of the top-100 podcast Humans 2.0, for the first time in person,” recalls Allums. “We were in NYC, he had just finished speaking at a university, and he said something that I agree with 1,000 percent and have preached: ‘A lot of students think that their business is going to be the next Uber, Facebook, etc. And it could be … but more than likely it won’t be. And that’s why it’s so important to build a personal brand because you will always take that with you.’ “Mark is dead on,” notes Allums. “Companies fail, they die, they get acquired, but personal brands live on as long as you do. I’m a perfect example of that.” #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 …see more

Now more than ever, focus on actions that support the fundamental needs that each person shares: to be seen, to be heard, and to belong. Here’s how: Up your eye contact Swap text messages for video chats and use eye contact to signal that you’re present and engaged, which in turn, affirms and acknowledges others. Stop multitasking When you give someone your full, undivided attention, they’ll feel valued, which fosters feelings of trust and respect. Practice active listening Active listening demonstrates respect, builds trust, and makes people feel valued. Listen to understand, not formulate a response. Employ empathy When you practice empathy, you’ll better understand others, and then be able to use those insights in ways to better serve and communicate with them. Get curious Use curiosity to ask lots of thoughtful and probing questions, develop a stronger understanding of the people around you, and foster a deeper connection. Connect (virtually) with your tribes Research shows that social connections are the key to well-being. Our species is wired to belong, and isolating ourselves often leads to depression and loneliness. During these trying times, connecting (virtually) with your tribes is critical to foster a sense of belonging. #career #leadership #coronavirus …see more

So thrilled to be included on PPCHero's Top 25 PPC Experts list again for 2019! Thanks everyone who voted for me - it means more than you'll ever know. This is my third year making the list and I'm still utterly shocked every time I'm selected from a sea of gobstoppingly brilliant Google and Facebook advertisers when I practice on LinkedIn Ads, which traditionally gets far less attention. Seriously, thanks voters and Hanapin Marketing . A huge shoutout to Mark Irvine for ranking top of the list, as well as JD Prater at #4 - you guys are absolute rockstars. The key to brave leadership is viewing vulnerability as a strength, not as a weakness. When we find the courage to ask for help, modeling vulnerability, it creates a positive ripple effect. We give others permission to do the same, creating a culture and environment of openness and collaboration. We lead with empathy, which enhances connection and communication, and builds trust. Here are two ways leaders can incorporate vulnerability: First, try to be of service to others who might need your help. And — this is important — don’t wait to be asked for help. Make it a habit to check in with your clients and colleagues. Give them your undivided attention and take action to see what you or someone you know can do to assist them. Second, don’t be afraid to ask for help yourself. Raise your hand if this is tough for you. Spoiler alert: You’re not the only one. We want to be the rock for everyone around us, but remember that even a rock can crumble to bits. There is no shame in asking for help, and in many instances, it can bring great relief to know that we don’t have to go it alone. #leadership #career #culture …see more

It’s amazing to me that there still aren’t great, well-known resources for women to learn how to negotiate their salary, sponsor other women, and other topics on financial literacy. While I know of PayScale, Glassdoor, Paive, and others, I recently had a conversation with other women about the lack of resources at a Women in STEM “Tea en Blanc” event a couple weeks ago. It’s unfortunate that these tools are underutilized, but it definitely pushes me to make content and host events around financial literacy, diversity in leadership, and more. What are some of your favorite financial literacy tools? #financialliteracy #personalfinance #womeninbusiness #womenintech …see more

I’m a fierce advocate for proper digital health adoption; and for that we need good investments in good digital health companies. The rise in such investments despite the pandemic made me realise that it's high time to address this topic so I worked on creating an e-book that can help you navigate in the world of digital health investments. And I explored a lot on the way from the impact of the pandemic to companies that leave a bitter taste in investor’s mouths following unfulfilled promises. Check out the 5 things I learnt about investments in digital health while working on this e-book! #investment #digitalhealthinvestment #venturecapital #startup #startupinvestment #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #book #reading #read #ebook …see more
