Considering how few Republicans have even congratulated Biden on his win at this point, it's hard to imagine him bringing the Senate on board for his agenda. #foreignpolicy #republicans #senate #USPolicy Watch GZERO Media #GZEROWorld . https://lnkd.in/eJr5UwP …see more
The fact that US and China are not cooperating to develop a coronavirus vaccine says a lot about how ties have soured between the two nations. I'm joined on GZERO Media 's #podcast by Eurasia Group 's Caitlin Dean and Citi 's David Bailin. Listen: …see more

#10. Practice gratitude #16. Stay curious #21. Do it Another milestone hit! Thanks for being part of this journey with me! 😊 I often receive questions about how I got started writing and building a community on LinkedIn. The answer: consume content, write wholeheartedly, and press publish. When it comes to writing, you need to start from a place of curiosity and learning — in other words, consume content to establish a thoughtful viewpoint. From there, write with your heart vs. for views. Focus on the value added to the community you’re writing for. Lastly, be bold and press ‘Publish!’ Easier said than done I know. If you’re still a bit anxious about publishing for your first long form post, hit me up and I’m happy to look it over and lend some (any) confidence. 🙃 Thanks thanks again everyone! 🙌 🎉 #emojiday #linkedin …see more
In this week's podcast, I mentioned that we're launching the Zero to Infinity Facebook Group soon. The team is working hard this weekend to iron out final details for the community, Daniyal Malik Ceyhun Yakup Özkardes ! Our community guiding principles will be inspired by the Five Exemplary Practices of Leadership. These principles will empower all members of the community to take ownership and become leaders themselves. These five exemplary practices are worth looking into if you haven't had the chance: 💡Model the Way: “Leaders create standards of excellence and then set an example for others to follow.” 🤸♂️Enable Others to Act: “Leaders strengthen others, making each person feel capable and powerful.” 💙Encourage the Heart: “Leaders recognize contributions that individuals make." ⛰Inspire a Shared Vision: “Leaders passionately believe that they can make a difference.” ✊Challenge the Process: “Leaders search for opportunities to change the status quo.” Interested in joining the community or helping out? I’ve got no idea how to get engagement on here and nor do I care, but being curious and interesting seems like a useful thing for everyone.
Check out this new billboard. Uber's marketing team signals a stark and clear stance -- "if you tolerate racism, delete Uber." A study from 2016 (University of Washington, Stanford) found black riders face discrimination on the app via longer wait times / more frequent cancellations, and the company's leadership team was 3.3% Black as of 2019. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi recently pledged to 2x this number by 2025, instill pay equity, D&I training, and invest $10M to support Black-owned businesses. Does Uber benefit from this OOH ad aligning themselves with the majority on this hot-button issue? Does the #BLM movement benefit from a billboard like this? Is the company doing enough to be considered an anti-racist company by the standards of the Black community? Is Uber taking advantage of the BLM narrative for the purposes of marketing/PR, or is this a helpful awareness-driver and partner in the fight for equality? Is this legitimate support for the movement? Is this pandering? What do you think? #WokeWashed #Uber #BlackLivesMatter #Advertising #DEI #JEDI #marketing …see more

Just finished WhatsApp Inc. -ing with my friend Juliette J Mutheu-Asego , a communications consultant in Nairobi. She shared extraordinary news...people were dancing in the streets in cities across #Kenya today, following the Supreme Court's decision to scrap the recent Presidential election results and order a new vote. The gravity of the decision can't be overstated. It's a profoundly deep disruption in the tapestry of #Africa's turbulent political history. BRAVO, Kenya! …see more
It was an honor to celebrate this remarkable Class of 2020 during my final #WhartonGrad as dean. I hope you all join in (virtually) recognizing our new graduates today - they greatly deserve it.
The rate cut per se is not the surprise but going for it less than a fortnight before the scheduled meeting of the MPC is. The central bank seems to be in a tearing hurry to announce the rate cut as it sees the “gravest risks” in the growth outlook.

I bought a 1990s word processor without an internet connection to stay focused while writing. However, whenever I sat down to write, I found myself glancing at the bookshelf and reading books unrelated to my work. Somehow, I kept getting distracted; even without the tech that I thought was the source of the issue. Removing online technology didn’t work. I’d just replace one distraction with another. I discovered that living the life we want requires not only doing the right things, it also requires not doing the wrong things. We all know eating cake is worse for our waistline than having a healthy salad. We understand that if we want to be more productive, we need to stop wasting time and actually do the work. We know what to do, but don’t know how to stop getting distracted. In researching and writing my next book over the past five years and by following the science-backed methods I found, I’m more productive, physically and mentally stronger, and more fulfilled in my relationships. The book is about what I learned as I developed the 21st century’s most important skill. It’s about how I became Indistractable and how you can too. If you pre-order Indistractable, I'll send you the PDF version NOW! Fill out the link 👉 👉 https://lnkd.in/emV92p5 #Indistractable …see more

So I may have signed up to my biggest challenge yet. Under normal circumstances, I would back myself to take on any business related question given my experience working in a variety of industries and situations... but that was before. I found this very insightful. How do you deal with #feedback . More importantly when to give feedback? Should we only give feedback if a person is eager for it. I confront these questions almost daily. Generally it doesn’t make you popular to give critical feedback, but to not do so would be dishonest - usually I try to give honest feedback regardless of its welcome. …see more
