3 Months ago we decided to take sponsorship on UxiLive, the biggest design conference in Israel. Nurses suffer from violence at work. I’m not surprised to read that nurses are more often harmed on the job than cops. Working with people who are sick, injured and sometimes in trouble can bring out the worse in people. When I worked in the ER I was harassed, kicked, slammed against walls and gurneys. All health care workers deserve protection against harm when trying to save lives and stamp out diseases! Selected Excerpt : “In 2016, health care and social service workers suffered 69 percent of all workplace violence injuries, and were nearly five times more likely to experience violence on the job than the average US worker. They are more likely to get injured at work than even police officers and prison guards. Nurses suffer in particular.” …see more
