So here is a thought, next time you and your privileged tech friends want to make a connected Juicer, or reimagined vending machine or make Animojis's, why don't you focus on global problems that tech can HELP solve. How about helping stop corruption, or making it easier for everyone to vote? How about making healthcare more accessible or reducing the income gap between men and women? Why not make it easier for people to get affordable child care or to destroy the filter bubble. How about using tech to reduce the energy we use or to help empower the disadvantaged to learn to create their own companies. From farmers facing starvation to the spread of AIDS to the spread of ignorance to  the rise of normalized extreme opinions and hatred. #IrrfanKhan was one of the few actors who took risks and shaped alternative cinema. He was a master of his craft. I particularly loved his role in Hindi Medium. I haven't had a chance to watch English medium yet. His untimely death makes me realise how life is unpredictable. It makes me introspect,"Have I used the time given to me on this Earth wisely? I'm in Shanghai to see how Alibaba operates on Singles Day. It's like the Superbowl of Shopping. - This year Alibaba sold $10bn of stuff in the first hour (which is about 6 months worth of ALL online shopping in the UK). - At its peak they have more than 350,000 transactions per second. It's all astounding. - The image shows after 1 minute they'd sold $692,982,280 of stuff, which they know in real time. - Last year they sold double what the entire US sells online on Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined.
