I can think of a lot of great reasons why reading is so enjoyable. Here are a few from two famous thinkers. Why do you like to read?

To say Elon Musk has a lot on his plate is a huge understatement. Of course, running a company the size of Tesla is plenty challenging. But Musk is also CEO of space exploration company SpaceX, which has a stated mission of taking humans to Mars and "other destinations in the solar system." And that's not all. Musk has also founded or currently plays major roles in a number of other companies. So, how does Musk do it? How does he manage his time, so he can keep his finger on the pulse of so many things? Musk revealed a very simple yet effective productivity hack in an interview some years ago: He splits his time so that he can basically focus on one company at a time. Of course, few of us are trying to run multiple companies as Musk is, nor do we have access to a private jet. But I've found great value in separating different aspects of my work by days of the week. The key is not to try to do as much as Musk does in a week. Instead, decide what your priorities are and then adapt accordingly. Last night, Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to another epic comeback--their third in a row--to become Super Bowl champions for the first time in 50 years. What's the secret to Mahomes's success? The young quarterback gave some insight into that question in his post-Super Bowl interview. Asked if he now sees himself as the face of the NFL, Mahomes said this: "There's several guys that could be the face of the NFL...Lamar [Jackson], who was the unanimous MVP last night, he had one of the best seasons of all time as a quarterback position. And, so, there's guys like that it seems like every single year. A lot of young quarterbacks, still a lot of veteran guys that that are playing at a very high level.
