Good morning. Re yesterday's post (below), there is already a raging political debate this Sunday morning on the executive orders including White House officials acknowledging a legal challenge is likely; Leaders of the Democratic party also stating orders don't "do the job;" and Economists wondering whether the short period of relief will undermine the impact of the orders on consumption, consumer confidence and household economic insecurity. There's also disagreement on whether the orders will accelerate or retard the Congressional negotiations. #economy …see more

Dow finished the day unchanged while the S&P and NASDAQ lagged somewhat as the rotation trade continued with a surge in airlines. More notable, a pronounced bear steepener as higher 10-year yields (now above 80 bps) were accompanied by 6 and 9 bps steepening in 2s-10s and 2s-30s. #markets #stocks #stockmarket #equities #economy #yields #dow #nasdaq …see more

The New York Times president Donald Trump's delaying the G-7 meeting and looking to change this "very outdated group of countries." By re-opening the G-7 discussion, the President is also putting pressures on the G-20 -- a construct that was meant to overcome the limitations of the G-7 but has struggled to do so. https://lnkd.in/g3VuRE7 #economy NYTimes.com …see more

Mighty mountains and great rocks have been shaped by the flow of rivers and streams. Although these streams of water may seem unlikely weapons, they still flow through the hardest of rock formations. The message is clear. If we are focused on our pursuits and remain persistent, we can run our way through the most significant barriers in the world and move forward. #MondayMotivation #Quote #Motivation #Business #Mindset #Success …see more

I’m publishing this series on LinkedIn called #Colors to explore a topic that I care deeply about: the Renaissance Mind. I am just as passionate about entrepreneurship, technology, and business, as I am about art and culture. In this series, I will typically publish a piece of art – one of my paintings – and I request you to spend a minute or two deeply meditating on it. I urge you to watch your feelings, thoughts, reactions to the piece, and write what comes to you, what thoughts it triggers, in the dialog area. Let us see what stimulation this interaction yields.
