This week was extra special! I had the pleasure of keynoting at the Serious Business conference hosted by the Neill corporation...and sharing that lovely stage in New Orleans with the very talented Esther Perel. While her work deals with interpersonal relationships and mine is more in the business realm, there’s still so much overlap. While I speak on marketing and sales and the very tangible realities of succeeding in business, the bigger issues I address deal with the anxieties and overwhelm of the digital age, and hopefully if I’m doing my job right...how to deal with it with a little zen. ;) #business #keynote #conferences #consumerbehavior …see more
Like all businesses the watch making industry is in limbo waiting to open again. Does this make existing watches more or less valuable? Mike blasted me last week for only focusing on the #investment value of the high end #luxury market. However there is plenty of opportunity in affordable #watches too! …see more
There is nothing more empowering than genuinely not seeking the approval of others or really caring about what they think of you. It frees you up in so many ways, but also is very threatening to most around you.

I've messed up. Because I haven't shown what it's really like owning a business. Here's "my" reality of being an entrepreneur. ✅ I've had two failed businesses. In 2018 my power was turned off multiple times because I wasn't making enough money. Early 2019, I slept on my office floor for 2 months while we got our company off the ground. ✅ My company has grown quickly. And it's been amazing. But 2019 was also a rough year. I skipped pay multiple times. ✅ I had to walk miles to meetings because I totaled my car and didn't have enough money for Lyft. ✅ I rented out two of my apartment rooms at $500 a month each. It allowed me to live rent free a lot of 2018 while I focused on building my company. ✅ I've been called a 'n***er'. Laughed at during the first pitch event I ever went to. Friends turn into enemies. Fellow creators turn on me. Don't become an entrepreneur because of what it looks like. This is the worst thing I've ever done in my life. But it's also the most rewarding thing I have ever done. And I can't imagine doing anything else. I'm a business owner because of the freedom. Because it fuels my curiosity. Because it allows me to empower others. I had a great time at TechSparks sharing my observations on the evolution of the startup ecosystem over the years. The last decade had its fair share of ups and downs but the learnings for the industry were invaluable. I truly believe the future of Indian startups is great and am optimistic on the growth of the Indian startup ecosystem. A big shout out to Shradha Sharma and the YourStory Media team for bringing together the community; the energy through the day was palpable. …see more
We all now know that #covid19 is not about a few weeks #lockdown and then back to normal life. For the next year, until there is a vaccine, restrictions of some sort will continue. So, all of us have to get used to a new normal. Change is painful, but it is more painful not to embrace change to grow. #WeekendMusings …see more

When we take words too literally. 😂 Talking about fitness, what is your favourite form of exercise and how consistent are you? I am fairly disciplined about exercise, I get lethargic without it. I draw energy from my routines. Yoga or walk in the morning and cardio in the evening, if possible. I work out 4-6 times a week. #WellBeing #Fitness #Motivation …see more
