I do what I want... 🤷🏽♂️😅 In all seriousness though. Every platform has its own language, cadence, and purpose. But, the magic happens when you understand the platform & understand YOU. Social media (and technology in general) is just meant to be an extension of who we are. It’s why I struggle so much with those that are preaching personal branding so hard. I believe in it. But so many people out there are putting more emphasis on “building brand” before people really understand who they are. Especially young people. Get clarity around who you are. Build YOU. And more importantly, be you 😉. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 #entrepreneur #business …see more
There's a growing consensus that we must schedule our time or someone else will. This is especially true when we work from home. This recent Fast Company article makes the point: https://lnkd.in/djHdexr And reinforces the importance of keeping a schedule, rather than just a to-do list: See: https://lnkd.in/dJsnZYA …see more

I told this story on QVC. I found some forgotten barrels of 2006 and 2007 of red Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon. 2006 and 2007 were near perfect growing years. We discovered the stash after acquiring the winery and blended this limited amount. If you have never tried a 2006-2007 Walla Walla I doubt you will ever find it again. https://lnkd.in/es52raV …see more

Humble beginnings, high achievements. Makes you think hard about the importance of self-belief and hard work. What was your first #job ? Are you honest? Let me ask the question a different way: have you ever told a lie? You can see the problem. Dr. Lenny Wong has spent years studying this and we talked about how pervasive this “ethical fading” is in so many aspects of modern life and what we can do about it. It’s sad how often recruitment is about reducing the risk of finding someone unsuitable, not simply trying to find the most remarkable people to work around Qualifications, identical experience, boring career history’s, compliance, infrequent moves , etc. All used as deeply unimaginative ways to ensure nobody looks stupid for hiring someone. Heaven forbid you’re remarkable and changed career, or took a year out, or tried something and failed, etc. …see more
The more of us demand an end to mass trials, the more likely governments are to hear us, and insist that states respect international law and never sentence children to death https://virg.in/iYS
I can't wait for the day I can pay $40 per month to access unlimited content from the New York Times, Times, WSJ, Conde Nast, Hearst, FT, Washington Post,Time, Economist, Guardian, Atlantic, Vox, Oath etc. And perhaps with very very infrequent, relevant, stunningly beautiful, valuable ads. Until that time we have a system that's not working for anyone.
