I'm afraid I have some bad news: Organic reach is plummeting, and for most brands, social media now is a pay-to-play game. Paid social ads are a critical part of any digital marketing strategy. But how do you get the most out of your ads? What do you focus on? 🤷♀️ platform? 🤷♀️ message? 🤷♀️ audience targeting? 🤷♀️ visuals? I have the answers you need right here. #socialmediamarketing #paidads #socialmediaadvertising …see more
"Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to a divine purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: That we are here for the sake of other men —above all for those upon whose smile and well-being our own happiness depends, for the countless unknown souls with whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy. Many times a day, I realize how much my outer and inner life is built upon the labors of people, both living and dead, and how earnestly I must exert myself in order to give in return as much as I have received and am still receiving.” Can you guess who said that? Weekly, I get emails and messages from people asking me, “How did you do it? How did you become a published writer? How did you break into entertainment not knowing anyone in LA ? How did you land a position at Disney? Or win this award, or that pageant.” My answer?! l’ve failed... a lot. But I never let other people’s “no” dictate what’s possible in my life. I’ve heard the word “unfortunately” more times than I wish to recount. I fail, and I get my heart broken, and I cry... and then I wipe my tears and try again, and again, and again. If you’re reading this post... keep going. I am taking away your option to quit! If you want it, fight for it. And I promise, every “yes” will mean so much to you on the other side #justbeinghonest …see more
I’m sharing this information about #SheDecidesDay2019 , which is Saturday, March 2nd, for so many reasons. Mostly because I have been so inordinately, OUTRAGEOUSLY blessed to decide exactly what kind of career and life path I wanted to have. The concept of someone or something taking away my power to travel wherever I want to go, to think what I what to think, and say what I want to say, is totally incomprehensible to me. Far too many women and girls around the world don't have the luxury of choice, or the power to decide. Whenever we can, let’s speak for them. #SheDecides UN Women Girls Not Brides: The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage #SheDecides #VowForGirls #ISaidNo #OrangeTheWorld …see more

While the nation mourns the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her storied career as a jurist, judge and crusader for civil rights – particularly for women – will be much on our collective minds. But few people know that without Ginsburg's work in the early 1970s on behalf of fair credit, women nationwide might still find it hard to get a credit card, debit card or mortgage on their own. Here’s that story. …see more

When you negotiate a deal, you stand by that deal. Amazon negotiated a deal with New York in good faith. They could have awarded HQ2 to 300+ other cities, but didn't, because they believed New York would honor their part of the bargain. They proceeded with good intent. They reached out to New Yorkers when politicians that formerly approved the deal started agitating everyone. 70% of New Yorkers wanted Amazon to come to Queens. And the politicians still didn't listen. I applaud Amazon for standing up for itself. This is an extremely dumb move on the part of New York politicians. It's not only a blow to New York's economy, but a warning to other large companies that want to do business in New York. If you're not wanted in one place, you simply go somewhere you're welcomed. …see more
