Elizabeth Galbut Perelman inspires me every day to be a better venture capitalist and a more organized thinker. We remind each other the difference we could make now and in the future, as long as we keep hustling hard and doing the right things. We remind each other to focus on the important tasks. But really, she teaches me every day to be thoughtful, value-adding, and smart about investing. I'm extremely fortunate to have her as a business partner and finally the world knows how good she is too. Congrats on getting on 30 Under 30 in VC!!! #SoGalBoss #SheVC …see more

One of my favorite parts of LinkedIn is its ability to make our worlds a little smaller and foster deeper relationships by meeting online connections offline. 🌎❤️🌍 Though I’m technically on holiday in London 🇬🇧, I didn’t want to pass up the chance to see the lovely Alexandra Galviz (Authentic Alex) . Such a treat to get together before I head back home tomorrow!✈️ #connection #relationships #travel …see more

Stanford Economics Professor and Chief Economic Advisor to President Bush, Edward Lazear, belives that the current recession, though deep, would be short-lived. Part of that optimism rests in understanding that it was caused by turning off supply, not demand. Once people return to work, supply should bounce back. #economicdownturn #recession #jobloss #layoffs #coronavirus #pandemic2020 Stanford University Graduate School of Business #unemployment …see more
I'm sure you receive many #newsletters just like me and you get flooded with information and data every day. Well, I spent the weekend cleaning my inbox and unsubscribed from over 30 newsletters and decided to keep only 7 that I cherish and truly dedicate time to read because they are worth it: 1. MIT Technology Review's "The Download" gives a summary of emerging technologies every weekday. 2. Corona Daily is written by a PhD student who gives the perfect daily report about what you should know about COVID-19. 3. StartUp Health Insider is a good way to learn about digital health fundings and communities. 4. STAT Go West summarizes what's going on on the West Coast in terms of life science, healthcare investments and biotech. 5. The Batch focuses uniquely on developments in machine and deep learning and they describe the papers and reports in a way that non-experts can understand them too. 6. Doctor Penguin collects 5 exciting medical A.I. papers every week. 6+1. Please don't forget that The Medical Futurist has a free newsletter in which I collect the most important news about #digitalhealth with the context behind them. Watching health experts involuntarily, but constantly touching their faces while warning against touching your face is comic - on the other hand, it perfectly illustrates how much easier it is said than done. Of course a startup already grabbed the opportunity and came up with a wristband against that - it vibrates when you move your hand towards your face. Its goal is to develop a Pavlovian response with time, so that by the end you resist the urge to scratch or poke yourself - thus stopping the spread of germs for your own and all the others' safety. Could you make yourself aware of such things without technology, or would you need Immutouch's help in this? #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice …see more
The baby on the photo is suffering from a hyperbrachial flexion due to retraction of the brachial biceps. She was born with several congenital diseases and one of them is a shrunken biracial biceps. We got the photo from a startup in Tunisia, ZCARE, that just received the certificate delivered by the Tunisian government that allows them to fabricate 3D printed classe 1 medical devices. They have developed 3D printed casts that are ready in 2 hours. http://zcare.tn https://lnkd.in/gK6W7dJ It's good to see such efforts! #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #3dprinting …see more
