Disruption isn’t so much a threat because people don’t see it coming, so much that people have been trained to think their success in the past means something in the future when things change. We all need to constantly assume we are wrong and seek people to challenge our views. For one, the entire executive board structure of companies is criminally negligent. Preferring like minded groupthink from the identical privileged but esteemed wise folk of yesteryear. Wisdom is vital, but so are people with careers ahead of them, unafraid to tell executives they need to rethink what they think they know, be more open minded and listen to their customers
