I'm not calling for denial, but it's about time the Media turned to optimism. To some a large extent the World's economy works around confidence in our future, optimism and hope. An owner of retail spaces is more likely to let a retailer miss rental payments if they believe their business will bounce back, A small business owner can likely hang on longer if they can feel a sharp recovery happening soon and have been allowed to fall behind on rent . People are more likely to book a vacation if they feel their job is secure, people's jobs are secure when people spend money. Confidence in the future means stocks rise, bonuses flow, pensions are safeguarded, money is a flow. I'm not asking for propaganda or insensitivity to the loss of life, but every story is being spun in the most negative way possible & we're going to manufacture an era of hopelessness, destroyed futures for the young, all because negative stories earned a few more cents with terrible banner ads. It's time to see the ample positive data for what it is & get ready for a period of rapid rejuvenation. It is not disrespectful of those who have perished to kindle hope with balanced reporting. It is not supporting reckless and unsafe behaviour to report the positive.
