Nachi Junankar is using AI to make the hiring process more effective for recruiters and talent. I recently chatted with Nachi about his company, Avrio, which is taking hiring into the 21st century.

Even as they celebrate their best workers, Walmart also acknowledges not all of them will be doing the same job or even needed in the future. Read Chip Cutter 's fly on the wall reporting on Walmart's annual shareholders meeting.
One of the reasons so many of us get anxious about presentations is that we're afraid we'll be asked questions we can't answer. Here are eight tips for saying "I don't know" and still looking professional.

Last year, B2B eCommerce barely registered on the scale of “important things for your B2B brand to focus on.” This year, B2B eCommerce is everything. Today's customers expect a seamless online experience: deliver it, and they'll come to you first. 👍🏼 Fail to deliver, and you'll see your customers dropping away. 🤦🏽♀️ #b2becommerce #b2bmarketingstrategy #b2bsales …see more
The #b2b buying space is changing. These days, there are shorter sales cycles. Fewer contacts with sales reps. Stronger gatekeepers. Greater demand for data and evidence, with lower importance placed solely on singular relationships. Back in 2004, I was still the only creative in marketing at Netflix . I use the term 'creative' because I was tasked with more than design. It was messaging, content, and more. That year, I got a new boss (who ended up being fantastic to work for) and was asked to prepare a "what I do" sheet for him. I just ran across it again and realized nothing I had done prior to working at Netflix had prepared me to do all of this. It really came down to ongoing curiousity and learning. That and an eagerness to try new things. And I feel very fortunate and grateful to have had the opportunity. #Netflix #creative #design #graphicdesign #marketing #tbthursday …see more
In 2011, we launched Netflix in Latin America with press events in five cities (in five different countries) in eight days. I designed the stages so that shots like this would be taken by the press. I would never have guessed that 7.5 years later the photos would still be used. Especially given the pivot to Netflix Originals in 2012 and the re-worked logo in 2014 (?) Oh, and this is also huge news. Not only will Apple now not get the 30% of the first month's fees, but they'll also miss out on the ongoing 15% cut they were getting as well. #netflix #design #graphicdesign #designthatworks #brand #branding #apple #ios #subscription #subscriptioneconomy …see more
I've created a video on four things to consider if you're thinking about going out on your own. It should be up today or tomorrow.
Never let emotion guide your response to media criticism. Wait. Create a thoughtful, well-reasoned response - if you feel you must respond at all.

Calling all my #reproductivejustice warrior friends in the U.S. -- This to inform you that there are two nurse midwives participating in The Aspen Institute ’s 2020 New Voices Fellowship Program. Andre Ndayambaje is a midwife and neonatal nurse who was drawn to midwifery after nearly losing his sister and her newborn baby during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Andre was just 11 years old when his sister gave birth while they were hiding in a forest. Today, he says that he is “the voice and the messenger of the newborns, of preterm births, of small babies, of sick babies, who continue to die every day and every second due to preventable causes." JOHN LAZAME of Ghana is a trained nurse and a public health practitioner working to provide quality reproductive healthcare, including safe abortion services, across Ghana. Through MABIA-Ghana, John provides sexual and reproductive health and rights education to women and girls and ensures that two midwifery training colleges teach new midwives to perform safe abortion services. These are just 2 examples of why I believe there is hope for the future happening in this place. #AspenNewVoices #midwifery #maternalhealth #reproductivehealth #midwivessavelives #globalhealth …see more
