Goosebumps listening to this rare archive. I admire Sarojini Naidu, the nightingale of India, a nickname she earned for her evocative poetry. Her confidence and charm are inspiring. She says in her speech, women have always been pivotal in Indian culture. I wish we remembered this more in modern #India . #Womenleadership #inspiration Video Credit: Brut. …see more

Entrepreneurs are the dreamers, doers and risk takers that have the opportunity to transform society for the better. I didn’t even know I was an entrepreneur when I started Virgin – the word wasn’t really used back then. When I first learned the word, I had to ask how to pronounce it - French was never my strong point! This #GlobalEntrepreneurshipWeek I wanted to share a message of encouragement - everyone has the potential to become an entrepreneur. Head over to Global Entrepreneurship Network & check out some of the great resources they have for anyone who wants to start or scale a business …see more

True service often includes giving something away that we value. Time, energy, missed opportunities and sometimes our lives. Some call this sacrifice. But not those who serve. For them, it was no sacrifice at all. It was a gift worth giving. Gen Stan McChrystal, author of Team of Teams, has a particular fondness for those who give quietly. No broadcast. No bragging. To him, true service includes humility. Check out this week’s episode of A Bit of Optimism at apple.co/simonsinek or wherever you like to listen to podcasts. …see more
I am finding an infinite mindset is helping me keep sane as I navigate these times. I’ve stopped saying I’m having a “good day” or a “bad day” and have, instead, embraced the language of the infinite game. Now I have an “ahead day” or a “behind day”. I find that that simple change in language helps focus on the temporary nature of all this. It will end. And we will get through it together. #togetherisbetter #takecareofyourself #takecareofothers #infinitemindset …see more

My little brother passed away last week. He was 18. Three weeks ago he asked to work for me after he graduated high school. And I said yes & there was nothing I was looking forward to more. To everyone “hustling” out there, please remember this (because it’s way too easy to get lost in the work): - Hustling won’t make you happy. The people (or person) you’re hustling FOR will bring you happiness. Don’t forget that. - Likes, comments, shares, etc... will not help you live a happy life. You need to find meaning beyond that. - Make sure you’re not working so hard to appear happy on social & instead just work to BE happy. - Go home. See your friends/family (if you’re able). Even if they don’t understand why you’re working so hard. I wasted way too many years because I was “working.” There are no words to express this pain — I hope the above hits some of you. Be grateful for the people in your life. Show them love today. Show them love everyday. Because “someday” isn’t always guaranteed. Taking a break from social. 🖤 …see more
