I couldn't have come up with a better example to demonstrate how an artificial intelligence-based system will support the job of physicians than the recent paper from Google Health. Even the head of Google Health UK said that such algorithms support the job of physicians, not replace them. So please don't believe the hype when you read the headlines such as A.I. outperforms physicians in diagnosing a medical condition. 1) These usually take place on pre-selected data sets, and clinical life is much more diverse than that. 2) Many of these studies are retrospective and still have to prove the efficiency of the algorithm prospectively. Just one of the reasons why I have a keynote narrative entirely dedicated to understanding A.I. from the medical and healthcare perspective. Those working with A.I. algorithms must understand at least the basics and it is indeed possible without any prior knowledge. #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #AI #artificialintelligence #mammography #googlehealth #speaker #speakerlife #keynotespeaker …see more
