"I grew up on Marvel comics. Star Trek: The Next Generation was when I really got into Star Trek and it is true that one reason I’m here today is that geeks and science fiction fans understand what the future can look like and that a better future is possible if we just push in that direction." No American should be working full-time and living in poverty. A $15 minimum wage is good in principle but it will catalyze corporations to replace American workers with automation and robots. Instead, we need to cut out the middleman and just give people money. …see more

"Thurner, 63, was laid off in 2008 as director of tech at Belmont Hill School, has worked for Lyft/Uber, and worked for a short time loading carts at Costco," We have experienced high skill workers surviving on jobs that are "supposed" to be stepping stones to better opportunities. Proud of my business partner Elizabeth Galbut whose wise words are featured in the Forbes piece about investing in women’s health innovation! “Globally, trillions of dollars are spent on women’s healthcare each year, yet in many areas of care, outdated approaches and barbaric standards of care still persist. If this research and learning-oriented mindset was applied to femtech by the venture community, startups revolutionizing women’s health would finally get fair access to the capital needed to scale these technologies and solutions.” #venturecapital #FemTech #SheVC …see more
