I talked with a professional video game streamer, Blyyy, who was super kind and shared all his insights about live streaming. We have seen numerous examples of how speakers do it wrong (you know those terrible Zoom check-ins), so I thought why not be inspired by those who are definitely professionals in such technicalities? I learnt that * He sometimes streams for 12 hours a day. Then he exercises (he often exercised in the stream encouraging his viewers to train with him). * He told us what technologies (hardware and software) we need to use for a good stream. It seems we will experiment with YouTube Live first. * He shared how he "branded" his audience, started calling them by a name that is unique to his channel. * He described how hard it is to maintain contact with them and keep them engaged while sitting in front of a camera and a green screen with his hands on the keyboard and mouse. * He hasn't used a biometric sensor but some of his colleagues have showing their pulse during intense gaming moments. * Many streaming services have a significant lag (even almost a minute) which would make a live Q&A unbearable. A short-term memory sensor to help me track/trend my short-term memory and provide tips to improve it, including sleep. A blood glucose sensor for diabetics that does not cost our entire month's salary to acquire. Eye monitor so I know it is time to stop looking at the scree n& take a break. The ultimate sleep sensor that regulates and measures melatonin, which you can regulate yourself (night workers, jet lag, etc). Nose sensor measuring quality and quantity of CO2 emitted to calculate base calories consumed and during activities, keto status sensing as add-on for low carbs diets.
