A new survey found female supervisors experience 30-100% more harassment. Low-level leaders have it worse, but women in top roles aren't exempt. Sexual harassment often stems from lust, an effort to equalize status, or from jealousy. So, basically, when the pressure is already high, and you have more to lose, you have more unrelated work pressure/nonsense to deal with. Greeaatt. I haven't experienced this personally. I've always thought part of the value in working in a team is that your peers have different areas of expertise, and often the collaboration is diverse and educational. This piece seems to confirm that..."Education mostly pays off for individuals who will be on teams with peers who are equally educated in complementary fields. So, if you're having a hard time communicating, you might find value in some of these assertion techniques. #communication #gender #work #career #mediatraining #KellyeMedia …see more

Removing likes is designed to improve consumers' lives, but influencers are starting to feel the impact of the change. Y'all know I love a good list, and this one is short and sweet. It's also really obvious, and not that difficult - if we commit to creating workplaces that prioritize dignity, respect and the right to work in peace. #gender #work #talentmanagement #inclusion #equalpay #diversity #KellyeMedia …see more
Y'all know I love a good list, and what better subject than how to promote respect? Most of these habits require subtle changes in behavior, but it's important to note that many of these changes focus on how well you communicate.
Y'all know I love a good list. I really enjoyed no. 7. Be Decisive: Professional organizer Scott Roewer said “clutter is simply delayed decisions.” Procrastination is the pits, so make that call. Just be prepared to handle what comes, good or bad. And, oddly enough for a media consultant, I appreciate number 9. Limit Your Media Intake. Choosing which media to consume has a huge impact on your mental health. Consume the wrong stuff, or too much of anything and you breed stress and anxiety. Curate, curate, curate. …see more
