When we find the courage to admit that we're struggling, ask for help or accept help when it is offered, we become stronger. It also opens a door for others to let us in to help them, too. Simon Sinek"Dreams always come from behind you, not right between your eyes. It sneaks up on you. But when you have a dream, it doesn't often come at you screaming in your face, "This is who you are, this is what you must be for the rest of your life." Sometimes a dream almost whispers. And I've always said to my kids, the hardest thing to listen to—your instincts, your human personal intuition—always whispers; it never shouts. Very hard to hear. So you have to every day of your lives be ready to hear what whispers in your ear; it very rarely shouts. And if you can listen to the whisper, and if it tickles your heart, and it's something you think you want to do for the rest of your life, then that is going to be what you do for the rest of your life, and we will benefit from everything you do." - Steven Spielberg #passion #listentothewhispers #findyourwhy #startwithwhy #liveyourwhy …see more

Suddenly Disney is out of magic, Paris is no longer romantic, New York doesn't stand up anymore, the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty. Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons, and not visiting parents & friends becomes an act of love. Suddenly you realise that power, beauty & money are worthless, and can't get you the oxygen you're fighting for. The world continues its life and it is beautiful. It only puts humans in cages. Reducing expectations to zero is a powerful thought; it doesn't mean you give up. It means it frees you from fear and failure. Also, no expectations mean you free yourself from external recognition to validate your work and achievements. Hearing this Balram was even more scared & the demon grew bigger. The bigger he grew the more scared Balram was. Seeing him grow Balram fainted. Then demon turned his attention to Krishna. Tom GoodwinWhen a plane takes off, it takes off into the wind. For the first 5-15 mins it’s goal is only to gain altitude, to trim its wing to be more efficient and go further, to get to what it’s made to do, fly. The distance covered in that time is often in the wrong direction or not far. It doesn’t matter in the scheme of things . In a non patronizing way, this always seems like how people should think of the first jobs in their career. A lot of people think they have to pick very carefully to ensure it’s heading them in the right direction. In reality it’s more important to get airborne. …see more

Get quiet so you can hear the still, small voice—your inner GPS guiding you to true North." - Oprah Winfrey This resonates with me. The most important decisions of my life have not been logical. Vani KolaThere is no right time to be an #entrepreneur . When you want to solve a burning problem, or are curious to find a way to do things differently or passionately want to change an experience; you have the call to go create a company. All you can do is heed the CALL. As they say, 'Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying.' You will never really know how it's going to turn out. Have faith in yourself and invite the unknown. Give your best, perseverance pays. Be bold to achieve your dreams. …see more

Well-off families are dealing with massive uncertainty, those who were struggling before are now hanging by a thread. So, this generation will need to grow up faster than previous generations. - It doesn't matter how much money you make if everyone around you is hungry & sick. If the world is going to get better, it's up to you. The first hug with our parents, the first meal out with friends, the first drinks in a bar, the first haircut, the first music festival, sporting event, the first day dropping off kids at school, the first flight, the first holiday. Everything from museums to galleries to conferences. We now have an empty calendar, cleared out obligations, we get to put back into our lives what we want to add in, not what we’ve inherited or assumed or did from muscle memory or social pressure. There’s a lot of sadness, a lot of fear and worry, and it’s often well placed, but there is an incredible series of magical simple things we can slowly look forward to and do.
