I've been doing this for a while now to increase engagement on LinkedIn 👇🏾 Leave another post in the comments section of your posts. 🚫 Not a comment tagging 39.3 people for being awesome. 🚫 Not a short question (although some people do this really well!) But I leave an entirely different post in the comments: ✅ It opens up space for conversation for those reading/watching. It also encourages engagement. If the comment does exceptionally well often times I will use it as a separate post. ✅ Your network will get notified that you commented on your own post. Driving more traffic 🚀 ✅ It should be a thought related to or adding to your post. Again, something that tells people another way to engage with your post/add to the conversation. A good way to send a connection request on here is to explain why you are doing it and what you’d like to gain or give. Be honest, be direct, be real, by all means just say someone seems interesting and you don’t know what it could lead to one day.

A common thing I see is that people treat LinkedIn like twitter, and posting 5x per day. But that doesn't make sense if you have less than 2000 followers. Your LI feed will look very different when you sort it by Recent rather than Top, the default setting. The Powers That Be at LI hide it under the field where you post updates. It's worth the two seconds it takes to change it.
