The UK really does feel at a turning point towards a far better future you can almost feel. But It's easier to predict WHEN life will return to "more normal" than it is to predict WHAT that "more normal" will be. It's easy to work with EVERYONE working from offices. It's easy to work with EVERYONE working from home. It's the hybrid which is hard. It's safe to assume all the work done in reducing office capacity, making perspex screens and distanced desks was all a waste of time and money. It was busy work. But how do people do 3 days at home, 2 in the office? Who gets to pick ? Monitor? Do some demand 4 days? Others 100% remote? How does that make those forced to be in offices for longer? What happens to those who feel left out being at home or key decisions made after the Zoom call by those in the office. Do promoted people seem to be in the office more? What happens to serendipity? What happens on pitches? What happens to salaries in a remote world? Interims are hard, we tend to flip to paradigms not mixed modes.
