I don’t understand why job specs are so utterly boring. If you can’t be bothered to make it specific and compelling, then perhaps your company doesn’t think their talent is the most vital asset they have. Someone should really rethink the whole format. Maybe start with the values your looking for , the environment someone will thrive in, what you want that person to accomplish and why it matters. Talk about who they report into and the working styles it would suit. Mention how long you want them in the role . These days knowledge, experience and even skills are still important but not as important as in the past. I’ve known curious people pick up more in a weekend, that many have in 4 years in a role.
