If an planes engines cut out at 40,000ft most planes can glide easily for many miles, most with skilled pilots and a lot of work can land without casualties. That’s what this working from home era feels like. We’re all quick to point out it’s working , because so far few companies or people have failed. But you can’t take off this way, you can’t travel far this way, it takes a lot more work to make up for it. You can cope but you don’t design for this I accept for some companies based in software for example, it’s far far less of an issue, but most companies need trust, ideas, belonging, togetherness.
