Progress depends on debate, skepticism & disagreement. We’d be better off focussing on how to manage this energy, not how to avoid it. We shoud be asking where we place this energy, where we channel it, how to orchestrate it. Companies generally die because of apathy not misplaced energy. It's easier to get fired for caring too much, than too little. It’s tiring working in a declining industry or a company going through tough times, not least people hang on to jobs by acting small, by keeping out of the way, and we cut ourselves to profit.
