It's going to be fascinating to see what happens when offices start opening up and people are first told they can come in. Then told they should try to come in. Then told they should come in. The whole point of an office is the network effects of many others being there. I don't think most companies will be very fast to let workers stay at home permanently. If you stay at home, you are now competing with all workers around the planet who can work remotely, so what happens to your London salary then? People come to the office for many reasons, some like a divide between home and work, some like the energy, some like the gossip, some like an escape from their families.
