Two things hit me about these tech companies announcing working from home policies. It should never be remote vs office, but a combo based on how you feel and what's the best way to get things done. It's never about Policies, it's about culture. It's about the behavior you accept, the people you celebrate. A "9-5" policy means nothing if you feel vulnerable saying no to a meeting at 6pm. "A working from home is fine" policy means nothing if you think you're not in good favor and you feel left out. Ultimately there should be no policies, there should be culture of trust and a clear strategy, all all these other things immediately fill in.
