Little Retail Prediction. + 2020 will be a great year for many large proficient physical retailers like Walmart, Tesco,,Carrefour etc. + BOPIS (buy online, pickup instore) will be massive ( and every agencies brief) + Shopify will move to become the company everyone admires - Amazon will really struggle and their shift towards insanely expensive unnecessarily fast delivery will be the worst decision they've made - Retailers built with physical and digital together, like Ocado, or Alibaba's Freshippo will slowly come of age - Direct to Consumer companies will largely fall out of favor as unit economics, CAC and subscription fatigue become a huge thing, and the dawn of realism about LTV and churn rates will hit everyone.
