I have a hunch the world is not changing faster than ever. What's happening is that tension is building instead. The internet, then the smart phone came into our lives and in many ways and in many places changed the rules of business. Each and ever year, companies resist changing, they do nothing or make superficial changes. People in senior roles hope to hang on. What really makes companies and industries hard to work with is the build up increases each year and is so far unreleased. Meanwhile the companies that emerged continue to become better. It's the tension of what you should have changed that didn't, it's the ever wider gap between what's possible, what's best in class, and what your company does, which is the issue.
