It's strange Apple made a "Digital" Credit card, and then made a physical copy of it, and then didn't add NFC to the card, and then used Mastercard as the payment layer. If you really wanted to rethink payments, it would be a digital wallet like Venmo/Klarna, it would store receipts, it would add aspects like Loyalty cards to retailers, offer advice. It may use data to serve special offers. Suggest reordering things that may be perishing, or warranties as items age or offer advice.
