Pretty sure the entire recruitment process should change for the knowledge economy and the best roles within it. 1) Resume's or CV's are about the worst way to judge people. Would be way better to have personal websites where people could articulate what actually matters. Their values, skills and personality. Their hopes and dreams, faults and eccentricities. What they believe and evidence of all this. I'd love to see personal websites used by everyone. 2) The process is appears broken, seems to be designed not to get the best people fastest but to prove that people have worked hard and followed the right proceedure. 3)For understandable reasons, recruitment still focussed entirely on the gaps remaining and the suitability of people to fit them best. Not finding the very best people and accepting this may alter some of the interfaces around it.
