Gender is a difficult idea to redefine for many people. We are taught from birth about boy + girl, blue + pink, male + female. The truth is, many of our friends, neighbors, family members and colleagues experience something in between and outside of that dichotomy. Hey, we can all benefit from coloring outside those lines ourselves now and again :) Making room for the REAL and LIVED identities of everyone means shaking loose some of our most deep-rooted understandings of the world.
