Seeing a lot of well-intentioned posts here on LinkedIn during #IWD -- don't fall victim to the trend of faux-feminism, where your efforts to recognize women one day a year fail to translate to your support the rest of the year. Helpful tips: 1. Pay women equal to men doing the same work at your organization (audit yo'self) 2. Train yourself and your employees about unconscious bias in hiring / promotion so you all can make fairer decisions. 3. Provide both men and women (who share the creation of a child, shocking I know) with childcare options and flexible hours. 4. Create mentorship / sponsorship opportunities for high potential women leaders. 5. Fix sexual harassment issues - all of them, at every level of the organization - even the "micro aggressions." 6.
