I tend to be a pretty open person. Over the years, I have accepted a lot of connection requests on LinkedIn from folks I don't know. Heck, I've even made new friends in the real world from connections first made here. But in the last year or so, almost every connection request is almost immediately followed by a sales pitch. And while I appreciate that people want to "shoot their shot," going forward if I accept a connection request from someone and get a sales pitch immediately or soon thereafter, I will un-connect with said person. In business, as in life, relationships are important. And if all a person wants out of connecting with me is a sale, I am not here for it.
