I hope Amazon does take over healthcare... personally, I like on-time delivery and friendly customer service and being asked whether I was satisfied with the service I received. And sure, I know (I know!), healthcare is not like package delivery. But let's face it-many aspects of care delivery is about delivering the correct good or service to the right person/patient, at the right time. It is also about caring and doing the right thing. And while individual healthcare providers do the right thing all the time, the collective effort of the health care enterprise routinely fails to deliver the right service at the right time to the right person in a customer-service orientation . So Hats Off to Amazon and any other "big dog" who wants to completely re-do a broken industry .
