Workplace distraction isn’t the result of technological innovation. Slack or email aren’t the reason we aren’t productive. No, the root of workplace distraction is cultural dysfunction. Too many organizations have a blatant disregard for their employees’ time, attention, and focus. Getting emails isn’t a problem, but getting nonstop emails all day, everyday isn’t healthy. For people to do their best work, they need to focus on one task at a time. The problem is never the technology used at work. The problem is company culture. ….which is actually a good thing -- because company culture can be fixed. I recently appeared on the Behind The Scenes Podcast by Kalaari Capital where I spoke to Vani Kola about how to build indistractble teams, the difference between reactive and reflective work, and how to capture the monopoly of the mind. I’ve included a link to the episode below! I’d like to know what you think: Do you have an indistractble workplace? Why or why not? #Podcast #Workplace #Culture
