Do you have enough constraints in your life? This question may be a little hard to understand at first, but let me explain. Research shows us that we operate better under constraints. Too much freedom can often be disorienting. When the possibilities are endless, it can be hard to make a decision. This is especially important to consider as we continue to work from home and transition into the holiday season. Many of the normal constraints we usually have are missing. There's no office to go to. Work hours have changed. Our kids' school years have been rearranged. Much of the structure we've become adapted to is gone and many of us are still trying to figure out how to adapt. This means that if we want to fulfill all our normal responsibilities -- completing work on time, focusing on our health, and spending time with our families -- we have to bring back some constraints and plan our days.
