Procrastination and distraction are things that happen in the moments but we later regret. So, how do we fix that? Our species has an incredible ability to do something that no other creature on the face of the earth can. We can see the future with greater fidelity than any other animal. We can predict what’s going to happen better than any other species. This means we can use our predictions of the future to plan ahead. The key to living with integrity is not to rely on self-control or willpower but rather to have a system in place so that when we are tempted toward distraction we have a plan in place!
