Distraction did not start with Instagram, YouTube, or any other social media… Distractions are clearly a huge problem today. I can’t recall speaking with anyone who has told me that distraction is NOT a problem in their life. Here’s the good news… it’s not a new problem! Distraction’s presence can be found throughout human history. As far back as 2500 years ago, Aristotle and Socrates discussed the nature of “Akrasia,” the state of mind in which someone acts against their better judgement through weakness of will.
