Attention Corporations: Can you put RFP's in the past already?! Nobody likes them. The process wastes SO MUCH valuable time! We all know it is usually a negotiation tactic for a lower price or a price war between vendors... Can you believe some companies still request GIANT 3" binders of printed copies, requesting the 20 copies (stamped COPY on each of the 1500 pages) shipped overnight via first-class mail? What is this, the 60's!? And just when you THINK you have a chance at winning the RFP bid in the finalist phase, the prospect declares that they are staying with their incumbent 🙄 Here's an alternative option... 👉Spend ONE hour with each prospective supplier on a call to get to know their company culture, services, and differentiators for alignment. 👉Send them a brief follow-up document with a short Q&A to understand if they will be a good fit for your product/software/service needs with pricing included! 👉For more technical responses, request a one-pager of ALL security and certification elements.
