So fed up and just have to vent... I have 800+ LinkedIn connection requests pending. No way I can review them all. Of my last 100 connection requests (after accepting the valuable ones), only 23% are personalized. Those that 𝘼𝙍𝙀 personalized say things like: ֎I live here in your area and would like to add you to my network. (Sorry, living in my area doesn't mean we should be connected) ֎I am looking to connect with digital marketers. (Working in the same industry doesn't mean we should be connected) ֎We have 13 common connections. (Common connections doesn't mean we should be connected) 𝙈𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨: ➊. If I don't immediately recognize your name because we know each other well, I'm going to need a personalized connection request message to let me know why you want to connect. ➋. It needs to be personalized to me. If your connection request is general enough to be copied/pasted across multiple profiles, it's spam. Please, please, PLEASE be thoughtful in your connection requests and personalize!
