Imagine the following scenario: medical students get the opportunity to meet a patient from the future, they can assess the patient’s needs, their attitude towards health management and they can apply this knowledge to their present education. After one of my keynotes, I challenged the medical students from Semmelweis University to bombard me with all the questions they would ask from a patient 10 years from now. I received amazing question about genome sequencing, monitoring my vital signs and the freedom of choice in a technological lifestyle. It was a truly amazing experience to see medical students shift focus and look into the future of care from an unusual perspective. I encourage every healthcare professional to do the same.
