I write, speak, think and work in the realm of trauma, particularly as it affects children and students of all ages. I have been struggling to find an image that exemplifies the experience of trauma -- whether it is loss due to drugs or prison or immigration or deportation or child services or divorce or death. Imagine this image being of a woman or a child, in addition to the person sculpted. Powerful sculpture. Look at it again and again. I plan to use it in trainings -- because it so vividly displays what is on the inside -- while we often only focus on the outside. Comments welcomed as always. …see more
