HR isn’t like all the other functions in a company. It’s so different from all the business-focus positions - product, marketing, sales, R&D. It has its own unique qualities. You can’t compare to anything else. Really? Actually - NO. It’s not. My role, for example, as an sourcer is very similar to an SDR:  Linkedin is one of our main tools  Reaching out to prospects is daily routine  We do cold calls  We try to create the perfect pitch  We use templates, but personalisation is the key  Small wins are big wins for us, one prospect at a time.  We’re Competitive We even share the same memes!
