Everyone is focused on the employee experience. What about the candidate experience? This was always tough. This new reality makes it even tougher. A lot of companies are trying to gain an advantage with ‘goods’ - mainly sending gifts to a candidates’ home. That’s not a bad effort. That makes candidates feel special. It will never replace the human touch. Candidates deal with uncertainty. Waiting for answers, getting feedback - these are their core challenges. It’s great to get a fruit basket or a bottle of wine, but it can’t come at the expense of being there - providing interview feedback, being available for questions, giving answers - reducing uncertainty.
