As we near the end of 2020, I really pray this Diwali that we create a better world for all of us filled with tolerance, compassion, and equality. Diwali is one of the most popular and cherished festivals in #India and is also a time for reflection. This Diwali I wish for smiles, let no child be unloved and no one be lonely or hungry. As you light a lamp, light a smile? Wishing you all a #HappyDiwali and a wonderful day. #inspiration #दीपावली …see more

Up until a few weeks ago, I thought I wanted a +500 person company. This entity that I could attach to my name that let everyone know I made it. I’ve reached this point of bliss (after what feels like years of tension), where I really just don’t care anymore. I don’t want that anymore. And for the first time in my life I feel like I’ve made it. I haven’t achieved all of my goals. But I’m good. With who I am, where I'm going, & what I actually want. My newsletter is about to hit 30k subscribers. It’s just me writing. No filter. Talking about the decisions that I’m making business, personal brand, and community wise. Just a journal. And I’ve been enjoying that so much more than anything else. Because I’m doing it because I want to. Not to hit a certain amount of likes. But simply because I have things that I need to say. And I say all this because I feel like clarity ebbs and flows. Sometimes we get it and sometimes we don’t. Sometimes what we wanted isn’t what we want anymore. Sometimes what we were isn’t what we are anymore. It’s not something we can prep for. It’s not something we can plan for. And that’s okay. I’m liking this new person I’m becoming. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 📸 Justin Jackson …see more
🛑 I'm done saying "build" your personal brand. 🛑 Especially to young people. It's so easy to buy into this idea that we need to have everything figured out, all the time, at all times. And that's never going to happen. The most successful people, when it comes to personal branding, their success is rooted in a deep sense of self-awareness. And they then use social media as an extension to expose that. Social media is just meant to be an extension. Your personal brand is the same. And the better you know yourself the more success you're going to have online. "Build a brand" is confusing to a lot of people. So instead of focusing on building a personal brand, focus on building YOU. Dabble. Explore. Fail. And really take the time to get to know you. No need to rush. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 …see more

אז, תודה AppsFlyer, זו הייתה שנה מופלאה♥️ …see more See translation
(4 critical questions that need to be answered TODAY) I hate being scared. I hate being anxious. This is 2001 and 2008 rolled together and times ten. Both those years I fell apart. Emotionally, financially, family, health, everything. I wanted to learn from my mistakes so that's been my focus and, knock on wood, I'm stressed but surviving and I hope others are as well. Now for some 'frequently asked BIG questions': What if elections are delayed? An excellent example of disrupting the status quo with radical innovation that has led to creating a new market - Electric vehicles. No word has been devalued more than the word "insight" . We always use it to mean: A nice anecdote. A decent statistic. Some facts. A bit of knowledge from an expert. Some perspective. A little observation. A chart with some data. A good article. It would be useful to claim back the specialness of the word. This post is not an insight either. …see more
I don't ever want to hear a target audience defined as "being a heavy smartphone user" or an ad campaign to reach "millennials" on the insight that "they listen to a lot of music" . I don't want to hear that "influencer marketing works" because young people are "hard to reach" or "don't trust advertising" . They are not hard to reach, they are on their phones the whole time. Worst of all, I just saw a deck saying this group really enjoyed "surfing the internet". And PLEASE, no more "X is a new Y that gives our audience a platform to connect to the things that matter to them, whatever they’re into" . This has been said about 1000 times already. We can do better than this. …see more

Getting fed up of the total nonsense about "Digital Transformation" being written by large companies that haven't changed since the 1980's. I guess that's partly why I'm writing a book on it.
It would be better if companies saw customer service as a marketing investment and not as business overhead to reduce. Your companies social media strategy shouldn’t be to make dumb posts that nobody cares about but to create great experiences that people talk about.
Pretty sure if in Advertising we all had the last 20 years of “learning” removed from our memories we’d all be making much greater ad campaigns. We’ve collectively got so lost, so dazzled by technology, so data obsessed, so scared of missing out on shiny stuff, so terrified to look like we don’t get it , we’ve lost it. Above all else forgotten that what used to work still largely works best.

Let's do something today that our future selves will thank us for. Let's make the world a better place for the next generation. Step by step. One habit at a time.
Every time you get rejected you learn a little more about yourself, about how to approach people, about #building strength, about getting out your comfort zone.
Monthly reminder that asking for a meeting to talk about X and Y and make Z happen is about 1,000 times more likely to be agreed to than “ May I pick your brains” or “I’m in New York on the 23rd, let’s meet” or “ I’ll buy you a cocktail”. Our most precious thing is time and attention, help everyone prioritize.
