I don’t get why people like it when house prices go up. It's the only thing we need in life that when it gets more expensive, it's considered good news. Even if you’ve made money this way. Congratulations your next home now also costs more.
#Covid19 is a #crisis but is also an opportunity to learn, reflect and discover yourself. Tough times bring out the strength you didn't know you had. So, don’t get bogged down by just one version of your dream. Focus on what matters and innovate to find answers. Why you should create "something" daily 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 Imagine you have two designers of the same skill level [total beginners] sitting at a table. - You tell the 1st designer, "create a design to the best of your ability. You have 30 days." - You tell the 2nd designer, "create a design every day for the next 30 days." More than likely the 2nd designer is going to come out on top every single time. They're failing more. Running into more challenges. Etc. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece. It doesn't even have to be published. But create every day and you'll come out a better content creator. #justQ 🖖🏽🖤 …see more

It's rather strange how for decades companies agonized over decisions in physical retail, the store smell, layout, the look of the cashiers desk, staff training, uniforms, lighting. In eCom, even in luxury retail, items are just chucked in brown boxes, delivery partners are chosen on price not service, you may get a tatilly printed invoice on cheap paper. Peloton is suffering because of delayed shipping and poor item tracking, they blame it on XPO Logistics and J.B. Hunt, as their logistics vendors. I'm bemused as to how companies don't consider these vital touchpoints as marketing. You'd not blame a badly printed store bag on a supplier, you'd not choose awful interior design and shrug it off as a vendor quality issue, you'd see the experience was poor and change it. Does it not occur to companies in the world of eCom to invest in packaging, delight with service, seduce with information sharing. etc. …see more
Last year I met Gary Vaynerchuk . My legs were shaking before I grabbed the mic for Q&A (I don't get nervous for anyone 😂). To keep it short, basically I quickly told my story, thanked him, and went up on stage to give him a hug. I was creating a data point in that moment. A point in time where our stories intertwined. I've thought a lot about influence the past few years. I gave a talk on it a few weeks ago. The reason why my legs were shaking and the reason why that hug met so much is this: I can go back and pinpoint the moment where Gary impacted my life. I was in the weight room, in college, and my triple jump coach told me to check out a guy named "GaryVee." And from there I went down the rabbit hole of entrepreneurship and content. Failed with two companies but found a lot of success with the third. Gary is impacting others & creating those data points at scale for other people. I was supposed to give a talk on monetizing your personal brand... I talked about impact instead. Because the 💰will come if the impact is there. #justQ 🖖🏾🖤 #business #entrepreneurship …see more

One big problem these days seems to be the modern notion that somehow your job should be something that provides you with purpose, happiness, authenticity, friendships and money. For all of human history work was punishment, a struggle for survival, a torment to escape for brief moments of snatched holidays. Don't get me wrong jobs should be with nice people, you've good relationships with, doing things that are not unreasonable. They shouldn't be toxic. But to aim for every human need in one thing, rather than seeking from different elements of your life, is probably asking a bit too much. Much like the same could be said for a modern romantic relationship. …see more

When is the ideal time to start your business? While there is never an ideal time to start a business, and it's you who have to create that right time, ask yourself these five questions before hitting the road: 1. What solution will I provide? 2. Are customers' needs at the core of the business? 3. Is my product/service better or any different from the existing ones? 4. Do I have enough savings to survive the next 12-24 months? 5. Do I have the expertise to lead a company? Remember - #entrepreneurship is for the brave-hearted. #Startups #Success …see more
Here is the UPDATED infographic about the 40 trends that I think shape digital health and the future of healthcare. When my book, The Guide to the Future of Medicine came out, I released an infographic about the 40 trends of digital health. I wanted to visualize the trends and innovations that shape the future of medicine from 3 perspectives: - Which stage of the delivery of healthcare and the practice of medicine is affected by that (Prevent & Prepare; Data Input & Diagnostics; Therapy & Follow-up; and Outcomes & Consequences); - Whether it affects patients or healthcare professionals; - The practicability of it (already available – green boxes; in progress – orange boxes; and still needs time – red boxes) The infographic represents the way I see the development of key trends and innovations in the process of delivering healthcare. For those interested in the same analysis from 2016, here is the original one. http://bit.ly/2XxxR9l #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #fromchancetochoice #infographic #infographics #business #health #telemedicine #genetics #healthy #innovations #consumer #research #medtech #innovation #wearable #biotech …see more
